These girls sum up my feelings, exactly. Oh, and don't forget to mark rstanis2's and BCheron's comments as spam. :) (Especially rstanis2, the "scared shitless" little man-look at him go! From dating Asian, to living in Asia, to going to a college supposedly "full of Asians". I doubt the first two, but the third might be true, cause it sounds more personal.)

Before I go on, I would just like to say this: It's ok to like Asian culture (ie. you generally respect it and find it interesting in a non-aesthetic way.); liking it doesn't automatically categorize you as racist. Let's get that clear. And now, I go on.

However, to actually generalize a whole race and call other people who don't fit in to the stereotypes as "fakies", is fucked up. To actually go around looking for _(insert race)_ Women/Men, because you think they're more "________" than _(insert other race here)_ Women/Men means that there is a serious problem in the way you view people in general. To actually go to Asia and try to assimilate into the culture only because you watched anime, etc. is pathetic and insulting. Fantasizing about her/him by the color of their skin/where they come from/what they look like/more superficiality=isolating their individuality.

To assume that a culture of one country or nation dominates the mindsets of EVERY person from that country, is just stupid and generalizing. Why? There are MANY cultures in a country, not just one! For example, it's wrong to think that all Americans are hillbillies/spoiled/"Fuck Other Countries!" Nationalists/rich/liberated/etc. There are many exceptions, various cultures and different mindsets. And just because you dated a few Asian girls who were "submissive and small" (to the people who claim it, I doubt it highly. See "Colleen Kelly" for reference) and live in the part of Asia closest to the "sex district", doesn't make you an expert on Asians. That's like saying Britney Spears and Paris Hilton is every White woman. (More examples of racist sexism welcome, for me to expose)

Why I am Pro-Choice

A) I believe in a woman's right to choose for herself, not have someone else tell her what to do, how to live and think.

B) There are many women who cannot afford a baby, (poor welfare women, woman almost getting a PhD, etc.) but are pregnant.

C) Adoption may be an option, but it sometimes means a cruel life for the baby. However, there are loving families.

D) We can NEVER go back to the coat hangers. NEVER EVER.

E) I believe that a woman is capable of CHOOSING whether she should keep the baby or not. If she keeps the baby, awesome. If she can't, then that was her decision and she can't change her whole life over one mistake.

F) "Slut-Punishing" is for evil moronic bigots, whether you are evangelist, fundamentalist, conservative, liberal, Democrat, Republican, Green, Independent, Neutral, etc.

G) I'm a virgin, but there is one girl in my class who is for "slut-punishing" (her name rhymes with Lissa and she disgusts me with her self-hatred and her misandry) and dehumanizes everyone she thinks is a "slut". (Even if she couldn't tell a "slut" from her two shoes, because guess what? Even that girl in the corner you never suspected could be having sex!!!) Because of stupid girls like Lissa who harm other women to make up for their own lack of self-worth or real knowledge. And I think judging other people for having sex before marriage is wrong. If you don't like it, just don't do it.

H) Because the condom may have broke, but even God knows that nobody is going to stop having sex. Accidents happen and when they do, you should fix them and deal with them, whether it's with adoption, abortion or keeping the baby. Abortion should not be taken away.

I) If you're a woman who doesn't believe in abortion, I respect your decision too, as long as you're not for taking away everyone else's rights along with it. Because YOUR body=YOUR decision. Not your boyfriend's/husband's/parent's/friend's/etc.'s. YOURS.

J) Because anti-choicers support terrorism. More links are here, I can seriously go on...

Seriously, it's bad enough with the creepy white guys stalking us, but when our own Asian men blame US for what happens? That's fucked up. (At least one person is closer to the truth than the rest.)

He "picked" the Asian Woman as his "Perfect Woman", even after showing what a woman-hating prick he was. You could have heard me screaming, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WHYYYY!?!" all the way from the moon!) Why does this blog exist? You know why! I, like possibly many other Asian Women, are sick, repulsed, and tired of the bullshit- from the "China doll"/"Geisha Girl"/"Hyper-sexual"/"Submissive Woman"/etc. stereotypes to the loser racist (and sexist) males (usually weeaboo) who try to woo, trap, then doom us all. How many times does some sexist man who is afraid of women start rambling on a "Men's Rights" forum about how women are "money hungry, emasculating, cunts, sluts, etc.", then automatically say, "...except Asian women-they bow every time you get home from work, they raise your kids, they cook your meals and they obey you-now that's a real woman!" (Of course, considering it's a "Men's Rights" forum, they'd be less grammatically correct) It makes me want to say a lot of things, from "Fuck you, dicks!" to "Stay away from my Asian sisters - and women and children in general."

Don't get me wrong - EVERY "Minority"/"Majority" woman has at least a handful of repulsive, gag-inducing stereotype associated with them. Same with men! But alas, it seems that the oppression of Asian Women here in the States isn't paid attention to much-although recently, it's slowly gaining attention. (But we want more!) And sometimes, it is even brushed off. *shudder* I mean, Margaret Cho is awesome! But there should be more like her from our Asian sisters-don't fit in to the quiet and docile stereotype- SPEAK OUT! And if you're putting it off, because you don't think you can pull it off or whatever, just realize this; I'm here, a 16 year old Asian American girl, who is risking looking like a complete idiot over one mistake or grammatical error (or maybe just the case of, "I can't explain this right"), but I'm doing it anyway, because I have been putting this off for too long, even when I told myself a long time ago that I would DO THIS. And trust me, you can't be worse at this than I am.
